I read good things about this saw on Amazon so I went ahead and ordered one. When it arrived I was impressed with the heft and quality of the saw except... when I mounted the blade it was about 4 degrees off of straight-alignment. Also, I noticed the mounting mechanism was plastic and became worried for its longevity. So.. rather than wrestle with a misaligned sawblade I returned the unit. CPO Ryobi's customer service was great throughout.
Just in case you think I am an anomaly, I encourage you to check out Home Depot's user reviews of this product. If you can.. spend the extra $50 and get the Bosch 1587AVS jigsaw (reconditioned from CPO Bosch)
Works great. Easy to change blades. The dust collector becomes a nuisance when a hose is attached.
