This saw is the cats meow! I have nothing bad to say about it. What clean quiet cord free cuts. The splinter plastic devise has been falling off. The only problem so far. I had the corded Milwaukee jig and this is all around better. These latest Makita cordless tools are great, I bought the 4 tool pack and the 7 tool pack and then this tool all by itself. VERY PLEASED!

Used this to help cut stair stringers and it worked great. But I must say I was greatly disappointed in the carrying case. The cordless Makita drill I have came with a nice solid plastic case that the drill and accessories fit into nicely. It appears Makita didn't have the same attention to detail with this jigsaw as they just threw in a canvas bag with their name embroidered on the side. Very disappointing. But that being said, the jigsaw, batteries, and charger work flawlessly.
