I recently needed to pick up a jig saw and ran across this one on Amazon. I chose Makita brand over other popular brands because of the quality. I've got other Makita tools that I've used now for 25 years with NO trouble whatsoever. This saw feels, sounds, and works with that same quality.
The shipping was faster than anticipated, which is a huge plus alone. The saw runs clean and true with every cut so far. I've used it to cut out plywood and solid african mahogany with very limited chipping, using the included blade. Additionally, I was very impressed by the very, very smooth cut that the saw provided - little to no sanding, really. Great tool and a great addition to all my other stuff!
