Light, sturdy, and easy to manage with one hand. Blades were easy to insert and remove. Clamped and cut a piece of 3/4 inch pine without difficulty. A very convenient tool for crafts and household use.
I purchased this saw over a year ago, and am impressed with its power output and ruggedness in such a convenient lightweight package. Over the years, I've use a fair number of saber saws (a.k.a. 'jig saws'), and would rate this one as tops for short-run tasks. My other two saber saws have remained on the shelf since I acquired this unit.
It's really unfortunate that the product description does not clarify the fact that the battery and charger must be purchased separately. This fact understandably causes an angry response from some buyers, and triggers negative reviews unnecessarily. This review pertains only to the product itself; not to the marketing approach.
