I have been a Bosch purchaser for over a decade now. I had the older version of this saw which used the NiCad blue packs. This one has all the power of the older one while weighing quite a bit less and being far more compact. I just used it to finish my basement, cutting both paneling and 2x4s along with 2 metal studs. One thing Bosch did differently and better with this model is true one-handed blade insertion. It took me a bit to get used to it, there is no lever to slide or anything-just simply push the bit in and it clicks in place.
I am very happy with this saw, I expect it to last me a decade like my old one did.
What a surprise when item arrived with out charger or battery. I had other Bosch tools so i was able to use it but if i did not have it i will be very upset. So please be aware and read product description.
